Kay's Chooks
Story
This year, our team of family and friends will be walking in the Bridge to Brisbane in memory of our lovely Kay.
Earlier this year, we lost Kay to stroke, and we're taking on this challenge in her honour as Kay's Chooks - a name inspired by her love for her chickens (and chicken chasing antics!).
Every 11 minutes, someone in Australia has their first stroke. Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime, even unborn babies. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, around 600 Australian children experience stroke each year.
We're raising funds for the Stroke Foundation, which provides essential programs and resources to:
